Frank Cappello’s artistic journey evolved from landscape paintings into an exploration of physical and astronomical principles. By blending improvisational techniques with diverse media, he creates compositions that balance accident and control. His approach mirrors musical composition, using frequency lines and layering techniques to construct each piece.

His methods include mixing pigment directly on the canvas, incorporating unconventional materials like earth and sawdust, and using destructive techniques such as water jets and air pressure to transform surfaces.
